Hey there! We are the owners of 't Vuurgoudhaantje. Not a large rental organization, but our own nice nature cottage. We manage everything ourselves, remotely, and make sure everything is well organized so you can enjoy your stay carefree.
Who we are
Let us introduce ourselves
Hey there! We are Hein and Roelie, the proud owners of 't Vuurgoudhaantje. Together with our children Luan and Yuna we live in the Maashorst and enjoy nature around us to the fullest.
Walking, bird watching, discovering nature or just being completely still: we love being outdoors and enjoying the surroundings.
With 't Vuurgoudhaantje we wanted to create a nice place where others can experience that same feeling. A place to be together, go outside, play a game or listen to the birds with a cup of coffee in the garden.
In the cottage you'll find warm terra tones, two comfortable couches and plenty of games, puzzles and children's toys for a cozy stay. We hope you feel as welcome and relaxed there as we do.
About the origin
Why 't Vuurgoudhaantje?
Our love for birds and nature inspired the name of the cottage. The firecrest is one of the smallest birds in the Netherlands. Sometimes you have to stand still and look closely to discover it.
And that's exactly the feeling we want to give with this place: slow down, look around and enjoy the little things.
From a bird in the garden and a cup of coffee in the morning sun to playing a game together or coming home after a long walk through the forest.
Just having nothing to do. Just being, discovering and enjoying.
We hope that 't Vuurgoudhaantje is a place where you find peace, make beautiful memories together and go home with renewed energy.
About the vacation cottage
How we created the cottage
We had been looking for a vacation cottage where you can really enjoy nature for some time. A place with peace, greenery and space to escape the daily hustle and bustle. In 2026 we finally found this gem in De Maashorst: our own 't Vuurgoudhaantje.
We immediately saw the potential to make it a warm, cozy place. With the furnishings, the colors and the small details we tried to create a cottage where you feel at home quickly. A place that invites you to go outside, but where you're just as happy spending a whole afternoon with a cup of coffee, a good book or a game at the table.
And so our search for a nice spot in nature eventually became a place that we're now happy to share with others.
